Rhythm and joy, poetry and saudade! We, the members of Vatapá and singer Caroline Lobanov, have lost our heart and found each other in Brazilian music. In January 2015, we recorded a CD with music from the best Brazilian songwriters. Songs that deserve to be heard by many people! We chose the title 'Doce com Pimenta', because in our interpretation of the Brazilian Music we combine both aspects - the hot and the sweet. Caroline Lobanov feels at home in the world of Brazilian song and knows how to touch senses, interpreting compositions by Ivan Lins, Djavan, Lenine and Chico Buarque. Cariopa (a mix of 'Carioca’, native of Rio de Janeiro, and Europe) is a group of four European musicians playing the finest Brazilian Choros and swinging sambas with passion, warmth and a big smile on their faces. They all traveled, studied and gave concerts in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and therefore they brought with them the authentic Brazilian swing.
